A RUN WITH THE WOLVES Episode 1

They say all is not fair in love and war but I was determined to fight to the very end, fairy tales are ploys to make us believe in love and fantasy. Right? Harvey was my crush, my dream man right from university days I had butterflies anytime he spoke or called my name yeah that kind of crush. on a fateful day I ran into him in cafeteria, walking with my crew we were popular like that imagine every guy turning heads when you walk in all eyes were on us you know, truth be told I loved the attention but in my heart I only wanted Harvey the famous basketball player all girls flirted with him. we were no different from each other but I guess he knew I liked him oh wait I haven't introduced myself yes I am Bright but you my friend can call me Bree, back to me I sat opposite him and the next thing I knew he sat beside me mistakenly brushing my arm oh I could feel his scent he smelled of Hugo Boss and Armani I wondered how could a man smell so peaceful and sensual, we barely spoke to each other but I could sense he wanted to talk to me but just dint know how lol, he kept starring at me like a hawk and I became conscious of how I ate my pancakes filled with berries and ice cream. As I stood up to leave he stopped me and asked of my name I was shocked at first but I answered and replied Bree to my surprise he said I like you but I guess you hear that everyday I smiled and kept mute, he said can we talk? I said yes we walked down to the park and we spoke of things that mattered to us I was surprise but I knew I was gonna make him beg for my love and not take it for granted like the other guys did.  I was actually surprised to how well he knew me and I wasn't tired of the conversation, you know when you're having a conversation with someone you like you never get tired of talking that's what happened with us along the line I figured Harvey was just a guy from a broken home who had many issues but leaned back on his career to cover it up. two years down the line I was so happy was in a place where I was comfy and safe. after university I left to the U.S.A I had to further my education and Harvey was playing with the big leagues we got what we wanted right? my business was booming, I was done with my masters and I was ready to start a family. three months after, I received a call from a friend of Harvey's saying he was hospitalized and he had a knee injury my heart started racing I booked the next available flight to Australia  to see my man on reaching there I contacted the guy who called me earlier and I was given directions to where I was gonna meet them  I couldn't think straight fear gripped me and I began to think of the worst, I had always heard of Four Seasons Hotel but never imagined it to be this beautiful I kept calling the person and was told that Harvey was discharged few hours after I left for Sydney, something fishy was going on but I couldn't place my hands on it, I met Harvey standing on the roof top smiling like he had won a lottery everywhere looked so decorated with my favourite flowers, the entire vicinity smelled of white roses and my man knelt on one knee and said just two words {marry me}, my heart melted immediately I was blown away but little did I know that my problems or rather torment had just started.
